In December 2016, Saleh was asked to leave a Delta Air Lines flight from Heathrow to New York, allegedly because another passenger overheard him speaking Arabic while talking on the phone to his mom. The flight was delayed 53 minutes.

”I was speaking in Arabic when a female passenger began shouting that they felt uncomfortable,” Saleh told VOX. He added: ”This encouraged almost 10 other passengers to agree and shout the same thing.”

”Based on the information collected to date, it appears the customers who were removed sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behavior, including shouting,” Delta Air Lines said in a statement. ”This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight.”
