She also began a long-running recurring role in the revival of the popular UK comedy/drama series Cold Feet. Edgar-Jones starred as Olivia Marsden, daughter of main characters David and Karen Marsden.
While a regular on Cold Feet, Edgar-Jones continued to appear on other British TV shows.
She appeared on the crime procedural Silent Witness, in two episodes of the LGBT period piece Gentleman Jack, and the 2018 movie drama Pond Life.
After the conclusion of Cold Feet in 2020, Edgar-Jones began appearing in a regular role on the romance mini-series Normal People.

Edgar Jones played Emily Gresham in the innovative re-imagining of Wells’ timeless tale. It was set in contemporary France rather than 19th-century England, and dealt with the aftermath of the extraterrestrial invasion, in which almost the entire of humankind was wiped out.
Edgar-Jones drew universal praise for her portrayal of Emily Gresham, a young woman who spends six months on alien spaceships before being returned to Earth with a mysterious tattoo. Critics highlighted Edgar-Jones’ understated performance as being one of the best things about the new adaptation.
Under the Banner of Heaven

In 2022, Edgar-Jones had a recurring role in the Utah-based detective series Under the Banner of Heaven. She appeared in the show for the entirety of its first series.
In the same year, she also appeared in the lead role of Where the Crawdads Sing, the much-anticipated adaptation of the novel of the same name.
Edgar-Jones portrayed protagonist Kya Clark, a young girl whose mother and siblings abandoned her and left her to cope with her alcoholic father.
