Introduction
In the world of Rap, Hip Hop, and R&B, there is a name that virtually everybody even remotely familiar with these industries will have heard of, and that name is Dr Dre.
Whether it’s for ‘Straight ‘Outta Compton’ or his work with ‘NWA’ (N***as With Attitude), for his amazing solo career, for introducing the world to Eminem, or for his Beats by Dre headphones, Dr Dre is a legend of the music world.
The word ‘Legend’ is used a lot nowadays, and while not everybody deserves the title, Dre most certainly does, as he is one of the most influential hip-hop artists to ever perform.
While we don’t hear or see as much of Dr Dre as we did a couple of decades back, he still grabs headlines and still has people speculating about his personal life.
His relationship with Michel’le for example, is controversial, to say the least, yet people often ask whether the two had children.
So, does Dr Dre have a child with Michel’le?

Who is Dr Dre?

Dr Dre, whose real name is Andre Romell Young, was born on February 18th, 1965, in Compton, California, USA.
Dre was born and raised in Compton, which has a reputation for being one of the toughest, meanest, most deprived areas in all of the USA.
Rife with gang violence, petty crime, and police corruption, it takes a special kind of someone to survive in Compton.
Dre is most certainly special, and rather than pursue a life of gang violence, he instead used his talent for freestyling and his passion for rap and hip-hop music, to earn a living.
Dr Dre is a famous US rapper, producer, and actor and is the founder of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics.
Dre rose to fame in the 1980s, first as a member of the ‘World Class Wreckin’ Cru’ before joining the NWA.
The group would rap about gang violence, police violence, and police corruption in Compton and Cali, and were not afraid to push the bar and push boundaries.
In the early 1990s, he went solo, and his first album ‘The Chronic’ which was released in 1992, proved to be one of the best-selling albums in recent history.
He would release further albums and further singles with the likes of Warren G and Snoop Dogg, before signing Eminem to his record label and introducing the world to Slim Shady.
Dre and Eminem became close friends and business partners and have worked together on numerous tracks, albums, and projects.
As well as working in music, Dre has also tried his hand at acting, appearing in Antoine Fuqua’s ‘Training Day’ alongside Ethan Hawke, Snoop Dogg, Macy Gray, and Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington.
Dre has battled his demons in the past, and has a history of alcohol and substance abuse, and is alleged to have committed numerous acts of domestic violence against his former partners, including Michel’le.
Who is Michel’le?

Michel’le Denise Toussant was born on December 5th, 1970.
She was born in Los Angeles, California, USA, and is an R&B singer who had a relatively short career from 1989 through to the early 1990s.
Michel’le’s most successful song is entitled ‘No More Lies,’ which was a top 10 US Hot 100 Hit.
Michel’le is also the subject of a biopic entitled ‘Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le.’
She met Dr Dre while she was a vocalist on one of World Class Wreckin’ Cru’s singles.
She was called in to replace ‘Mona Lisa’ as a last-minute replacement when the singer could not make it into the studio.
She grew close to Dre, and the two soon began dating.
Dre even helped her to produce her own album.
The two were soon engaged to be married, and in February 1991, they had a son together named Marcel.
A Troubled Relationship

Unfortunately, Dre and Michel’le’s relationship was not quite a fairy tale.
Dre had numerous children from previous relationships when the two got together, and the two began arguing and would engage in alcohol and recreational drug abuse.
Dre, in particular, developed a severe alcohol addiction, yet Michel’le stuck by him.
Dre also had a history of domestic abuse and would regularly beat Michel’le.
He would apologize decades later, though Michel’le did not accept his apology and claimed it was just an act and was not genuine.
Dre was even said to have fired a bullet at her during an argument, narrowly missing her head.

Does Dr Dre Have a Child with Michel’le?
As you can see from the above, Dr Dre does indeed have a child with Michel’le, a son named Marcel, who was born in February 1991.
Marcel was Michel’le’s first child and Dre’s sixth.
Marcel is now in his early thirties and leads a quiet and very ordinary life by all accounts.
The young man is not on Instagram or any other forms of social media, and he does not appear in the news or have any aspirations to follow in the footsteps of his parents and get into the music industry.
The only time Marcel is really seen online is when he is mentioned by his mother in her social media posts.
It is believed that Marcel and his father are still in touch with one another, though very little is known about their relationship, or Marcel’s private life in general, for that matter.
Sadly for Marcel, however, one of his older brothers, Andre, passed away due to a drug overdose.
In 2008, aged just 20, Andre Jr was found dead in bed by his mother after overdosing on a combination of heroin and morphine.
