Elizabeth Yumi Chang was born June 17, 1994, in Long Island, New York.
She was raised by her mother and father, alongside her elder sister and brother.
Capri was both an academically inclined and sporty student.
She grew up aspiring to become a doctor, but her plans quickly shifted.
When she was a young child, her parents enrolled her in swimming lessons, where she trained to become a competitive swimmer.
