Nikocado Avocado Net Worth $4 Million

What is Nikocado Avocado’s net worth?

Nikocado Avocado is a Ukrainian-American YouTuber who has a net worth of $4 million. He rose to fame with his impressive skills on the violin.

Once he’d garnered a following, he made the switch to something else—mukbang.

What else is there to know about the young YouTuber with 3.8 million subscribers and a video view count that surpassed half a billion?

We’ll find out here.

But first…

What Is Mukbang?

Mukbang—pronounced like “mookbong”—is a South Korean trend that swept into the mainstream social media world.

The trend involves people broadcasting themselves eating food.

It literally means exactly that: eating broadcast.

Yep, that’s it. Sometimes the video will include descriptions of the food, and it’s usually a huge amount of food.

Every once in a while, though, a mukbang YouTuber will eat something small and expensive.

Nikocado Avocado has posted mukbang videos where he devours 20,000 calories in one sitting.

The spread he was chowing down on included cheese curds, onion rings, nachos, tater tots, chicken wings, cauli wings, and a pepperoni pizza.

Now, back to our original programming…

The Origin Story

Nicholas “Nikocado Avocado” Perry was born in Ukraine on May 19, 1992.

An American family adopted him and brought him back to the US when he was less than a year old. He was raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

As a child, Perry claims he had a few problems.

According to an interview in 2019, he first went to therapy at age 5, and was prescribed anti-depressants at age seven.

He also says he was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD by the age of 12.

Whatever was going on in his childhood, Perry managed to focus enough to become a proficient violinist.

He also became a vegan at 19.

While on his plant-based eating journey in 2013, Perry moved to the Big Apple.

Husband

He also joined a Facebook group for vegan men, which led him to his first encounter with the man who would one day be his husband.

Orlin Home met Perry online, and the two bonded long-distance.

Orlin, who was living in Colombia at the time, eventually convinced Perry to move to South America to be with him.

Nikocado Avocado and Orlin Home married in April of 2017 and settled in Colombia before eventually making another move to Florida. In 2022, Avocado uploaded a video, “We Broke Up.” In the video, Home was heard saying, “You made me a miserable.”

Nikocado Avocado may have taken his name from his favorite vegan food, but he would quit a plant-based diet in 2016 due to his concerns about his health.

He explained in a video to fans—many of whom were horrified that he had gone back to eating meat—that he was dealing with tooth decay, vitamin B12 deficiency, and hypoglycemia.

Ironically, his move to healthier living in 2016 also involved him making his first mukbang videos.

Perry would gorge on junk food, become emotional and dramatic, and—in his own words—experience mania.

He gained a considerable amount of weight between 2016 and 2019, resulting in loss of libido and erectile dysfunction.

He spoke openly about his issues to Men’s Health and his fans.

Nikocado Avocado’s fans became concerned again in early 2020, and again in mid-2021 due to his emotionally charged videos and unreasonable reactions to what seemed to be mundane daily tasks.

Perry would later claim he had “faked” his distress to get views.

Despite his issues with his mental and physical health, Perry said that he’d still be making mukbang videos for a “couple more years.”

A major media outlet once ran an article about Perry, after one of his emotional outburst videos went viral.

The young YouTuber learned a lesson from the publicity, but it wasn’t a positive one: he learned that drama attracts views.

Viewers wanted to watch Perry devour massive amounts of food, they wanted to see his emotional breakdowns, and they wanted to be entertained.

Negativity—it turned out—was the way to fame for Nikocado.

When his emotional instability wasn’t enough, Perry started initiating drama with other YouTubers.

The ploy worked—Nikocado now has more than 4 million subscribers across his channels.

Another default ploy used by YouTubers to boost their viewer numbers is the clickbait title—something Nikocado admitted to Trisha Paytas that he does well.

He refers to his down moments (typically after binge eating huge amounts of carbs for his mukbang content) as a useful tool for posting “clickbaity” video titles.
