Patty Mayo Net Worth – $3 million

What is Patty Mayo’s net worth? Is Patty Mayo married?

Introduction

Patty Mayo is an American entrepreneur and entertainer who hit the big time with his scripted bounty-hunting series.

He’s gained a massive following by portraying himself as an Oregon sheriff—a following that enjoys his high-octane storylines and the element of danger in his videos.

But who is Patty Mayo, really?

Read on to find out what we know.

The Origin Story

Patty Mayo is a pseudonym for the American entertainer and YouTuber born Patrick Thomas Tarmey on July 6, 1987.

Patty was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, before relocating to Southern California.

Before he became known as the bounty-hunting YouTube sensation he is today, Mayo was an entrepreneur with several businesses of his own—including Boston-based Paramotor Tours and Abington Zombie Apocalypse.

Patrick Thomas has been dating Kayla Pillar exclusively for several years.

Pillar, who works both behind the scenes and in front of the camera in Patty Mayo’s bounty-hunting content, is not the mother of Patty’s young daughter.

A Whole New World

Patrick Thomas Tarmey may have started off with dreams of traditional business success, but his destiny had another track in mind.

In 2013, he launched the Patty Mayo channel on YouTube—but it took him a little while to find his authentic brand on the video streaming platform.

He started out with prank videos and getting involved in trending challenges.

He also put himself—and his content team—at risk by trying to capture footage of disasters in California.

Although most of that original content has now been removed to focus on his bread and butter—bounty hunting videos—he gained a major following.

At the time of writing, he has 10.7 million subscribers on YouTube, with a smaller following on other social media platforms.

The Birth Of The Southland Bounty Hunter

On the Patty Mayo channel, Patty started exploring a new and inspired format for his videos—high-octane, high-risk (or perceived risk) bounty hunting stories.

The Southland Bounty Hunter series was born, and followed Mayo and his team, including his then-girlfriend Kayla Pillar (they broke up in 2019), as they attempted to apprehend wanted criminals.

Some of Mayo’s most viewed videos include ‘He helped me repo his girlfriend’s car’ and ‘Black belt puts me in an arm bar’.

Fans love Mayo’s handcam-style footage, the fast pace of his apprehensions, and the no-holds-barred energy of the bounty hunting content.

Is Southland Bounty Hunter staged? Is Patty Mayo a real sheriff?

In July 2020, fans finally got the answer to the question they’ve been asking for years: is Southland Bounty Hunter legit?

According to the Oregon Sheriff’s office, the answer is a resounding no.

The Sheriff’s office issued a statement saying that Patty Mayo was not a member of law enforcement and had no affiliation with the Oregon police department.

The statement went on to explain that he was an actor, that the outfit he wore—which looked like a sheriff’s uniform—was a costume, and that everyone involved in the videos were cast or crew.

Those involved in the Southland Bounty Hunter—and local officials—were aware that the show was fictional, and Mayo was clearly not misrepresenting himself to the public.

The statement also made it clear that Mayo’s team adhered to all local laws, and his film crew clearly identified themselves that way.

Sgt. William Bailey—who represented the Deschutes County Sheriff’s office—explained that Mayo consistently communicated with law enforcement about when he’d be making videos, and took his responsibilities for the safety of his cast and crew—and the general public—seriously.

Mayo himself explained that his intent was to create videos, not to commit crimes, and he expressed the importance of not putting anyone in danger for entertainment’s sake.

Mayo’s honesty—and the staged nature of his shows—have actually helped the channel attract more engagement from fans.

He has been praised for being responsible and mindful of safety and ethics, in an era where many social media celebrities are endangering other people for views (like the Stokes Twins, who have been charged after putting an Uber driver, the Orange County police department, and the general public at risk in their attempt to boost channel views).

Extra Mayo follows Patty Mayo and Kayla as they vlog about their life, travel, adventures, and Q&A series.

Patty’s family makes cameo appearances on his Extra Mayo channel from time to time.

Wife/Girlfriend

Patty Mayo is not married, but he’s in a relationship with Raven Walton. Their wedding is set for July 2023. “Walking into the next chapter,” Tarmey wrote on Instagram.

Raven Walton is a reality television personality who rocketed to fame after appearing as a houseguest on the nineteenth season of CBS’ hit series Big Brother.
