What is Ally Love’s net worth?
Ally Love is a multi-talented American fitness instructor who has a net worth of $2 million. She’s also a TV host, model, brand ambassador, founder/CEO of Love Squad, and spokesperson and instructor for Peloton.
On April 6, 1986, Ally Love was born in Miami, Florida.
While she is a renowned fitness enthusiast, it was not always a part of her life.
When she was nine years old, she got hit by a car, leaving her unable to walk.
Her left femur was broken. She had a long road to recovery, learning how to walk again.
The doctors told her there was a high chance of her never walking normally again, so, in response, she decided to teach herself how to dance.
Love overcame her physical barriers through mental fortitude and learned how to dance.
She decided that New York was the city to be in for aspiring dancers, so she made the move.
Through dance, she learned about fitness and grew to love it.
During an interview with Peloton, she explained her passion for the sport:
“I eventually became a dancer, moved to New York City, and through dance, I found the element of fitness. Of keeping myself in shape, while having fun and connecting with a larger community.”
Prior to this transition in her life, Love graduated from the New World School of the Arts high school in Miami, where she majored in dance.
When she relocated to New York, she attended the Ailey School, an affiliate of Fordham University, earning her BFA in dance, with a minor in theology.
This Boss of Business wasted no time getting her career started.
New York Knicks
Shortly after graduating from university, she pioneered her way into the dancing scene and was immediately signed as a dancer for the New York Knicks. In addition to this, she was a full-time member of multiple contemporary ballet companies in North America and often danced on their tours.
As her brand began to inflate, further promoting her dancing mastery, global brands scooped her up as their next ‘it girl.’
Her catalog of modeling accomplishments includes Reebok, Self-Magazine, Victoria’s Secret, Women’s Health Magazine, Macy’s, Kohl’s, Doritos, Fitness Magazine, Health Magazine, Under Armour, and counting.
Her journey into health and fitness was a gradual progress that streamed from two avenues.
Hot yoga was a sport she regularly partook in to help her body heal from dance and school.
Through this, she grew fond of exercise outside of dance thus began researching fitness.
Additionally, in 2012, she landed a job as an in-arena host for the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center. In this capacity, she interviewed countless athletes and coaches, gaining insight into the world of extreme athletics.
From here, Love’s fitness acumen began.
It was nursed into a career she trailblazed for millions of other women, namely, a fitness instructor and spokesperson for some of the biggest fitness brands on the globe.
Peloton
In 2017, Love was hired as Peloton’s lead instructor.
Their decision to choose her over many other qualified applicants was based on her brand influence, extreme fitness level, and outgoing personality, a crucial requirement for the role.
She has since grown to become one of Peloton’s most revered instructors.
Love Squad
Apart from her affiliations with large brands, Love is also the founder and CEO of the brand, Love Squad.
The company’s mission is to foster honest conversions and help promote motivation for women to live their best life as entrepreneurs.
Events, speaking engagements, and building community are core components in reaching the mission.
As part of her independent brand, Love has given TED Talks numerous times and uses that platform to speak directly to women. She encourages women’s empowerment by showcasing her life story and the struggles she crushed to become who she is today.
During her Basics of Bossing Up TED Talk, she explained the moment she decided she would no longer feel sorry for herself when she was nine years old with a broken femur.
She said:
“It was one day, in particular, you know, doing my routine watching everyone in the window, and all of a sudden, I broke down. I started crying uncontrollably; I had no idea why. I couldn’t answer those questions, but I just knew that I felt bad about myself. That I no longer felt good and that I was being a spectator and that wasn’t my role in life.”
She went on to explain, “While I couldn’t take steps to tap into that willpower or to figure out strength. What I did know was that I needed a change. Yes, at nine years old, I knew that I needed a change.”
It can be said that Love’s destiny to do great things in life was always a part of her, but her motivation to work for it was manifested through her tragedy at nine years old. Suffice to say, she left the crowd speechless, as she does in all her speeches and fitness classes.
