Ssundee Net Worth – Latest Update

What Is Ssundee’s Net Worth?

Ssundee (real name – Ian Stapleton) is an American YouTuber, online gamer, and commentator who has a net worth of $30 million.

He is among one of America’s top-paid gaming YouTubers and is known for his substantial amount of subscribers.

Ian was a member of Minecraft’s gaming group, Team Crafted, and is a retired U.S. Army Airman.

The Origin Story

He was born on December 2, 1987, in California, USA.

He began moving around as a young child, so he lived in South Carolina, Virginia, and Louisiana.

Ian was never considered the academic type while in school and was unsure of the career path he wanted to pursue.

Upon graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Military.

He was in the Air Force unit for a few years, and in 2009, he made his exit.

YouTube

On February 14, 2013, Ian uploaded a video to his YouTube channel to explain why he decided to leave the military. However, this was not the first video he posted to his account.

On November 27, 2009, his channel went live, which is when he began uploading gaming videos such as Call of Duty, Dota, and Minecraft.

He was always an avid gamer and wanted to share his live streams with an audience, so he created the channel “SSundee.”

The first video he posted was “Minecraft Rollercoaster! w/ Ian.”

The video didn’t receive many views, but that was expected, considering it was a new channel. Over the years, however, his undeniable gaming skills swiftly caught the attention of gaming enthusiasts, and as a result, his channel blew up.

By August 23, 2013, his channel reached the 1 million subscriber milestone, and he began to earn a comfortable living off his monetized videos.

He decided to pursue a full-time career as a YouTuber and digital gamer by this point.

Team Crafted

In 2013, Ian was invited to join Minecraft’s gaming group, Team Crafted (TC).

This partnership would help boost his digital popularity, and shortly after, he was well-known for being a skilled Minecraft YouTuber.

Furthermore, he collaborated with other notable names in the digital gaming arena.

On November 19, 2013, Ian teamed up with “Lanceypooh,” another digital gamer, and together, they streamed Minecraft Supercraft Bros 45.

This would ultimately turn into them creating a series of Minecraft games, and from this, they adopted the duo title “Landee.” Following this, he started his own series called ‘Super Craft Bros,’ where he also incorporated talk about his private life.

While his popularity and career were on the up-and-up, he decided to leave the TC group in 2014.

From here, he focused solely on his personal YouTube channel and producing content.

He also wanted to continue collaborating with other gamers, so in August 2014, he and “Crainer,” another well-known YouTuber, released the web series, “SkyFactory” and “Jail Break.”

They developed a friendship outside of the digital space, and their very likable duo-personality would garner  them the name “Crundee.”

Hiatus

Ian continued to live-stream his videos for the next few years and would gradually and consistently experience increased subscribers. Like all other careers, YouTubing can become challenging and tiring.

Constantly uploading videos made strategically to meet the demands of the algorithm began to be taxing on him, so he decided to take a break.

Ian took a break from uploading videos between December 27, 2017 – April 27, 2018.

The gap in time didn’t negatively impact his career, considering all of his previous videos were regularly being viewed and bringing him in daily revenue.

On January 3, 2018, Ian addressed the hiatus from his YouTube channel so his fans and viewers would have an idea why he stopped uploading videos. He cited family issues that needed his attention but reassured everyone he would be back.

”I don’t want to go into much detail, you guys know, you guys know my wife, Madelyn, she’s been in videos … we’ve hit a rough spot in our marriage and is 100 percent my fault,” Ian detailed on January 3, 2018. ”I failed her … it wasn’t infidelity, I didn’t cheat on her, I didn’t do anything like that, I just didn’t listen. I didn’t listen.”

”Over the course of this past month, I’ve done a lot of soul-searching, I’ve done a lot of thinking,” Ian said in a February 2018 video. ”A lot of you probably know, and then a lot of you probably don’t know. I’ve always been a religious type of person … I’m a Christian, and I always followed values that were Christianity, but I’ve never really thought about what it actually meant, which leads me to now. What I’m doing right now is truly giving my life to God. I’m letting Him … I’m His servant.”

During his time away, he relocated to Victoria, BC, Canada, resulting from a marital separation that transpired from him spending too much time focusing on his YouTube career.

On April 14, 2018, he released another video letting his viewers know that he returned home and would be back regularly uploading videos. Four days after this, he uploaded his first gaming video since his time away.

In August 2019, Ian got a second hair transplant.
