Zak Bagans is an American television personality, paranormal investigator, and host of the top-rated paranormal television show – Ghost Adventures, who has a net worth of $35 million. He describes himself as “one of the world’s leading researchers on ghosts and demonology.”

He was born on April 5, 1977, in Washington, District of Columbia, USA, as Zachary Alexander Bagans.

He’s of German, Czech, and Italian descent.

Bagans graduated from Glenbard West High School and later from the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan.

Ghost Adventures

In 2004, Bagans and Nick Groff produced an independent film called ”Ghost Adventures.”

It centered on an investigation of alleged paranormal activity in Virginia City.

Ghost Adventures, the reality TV series, premiered on October 17, 2008, on the Travel Channel. In the series, Zak, alongside Jay Wasley, Billy Tolley, Aaron Goodwin, and Nick Groff (for the first ten seasons), investigates reportedly haunted locations. They have captured objects moving on their own, apparitions, and disembodied voices.

“When you investigate, you’re going to possibly come into contact with good spirits, and then you’ve got to protect yourself from the bad ones,” Zack said.

Some of the celebrities who appeared on Ghost Adventures include – Post Malone, Brendan Schaub, Vince Neil, Dean Haglund, and Loretta Lynn.

In 2011, Bagans hosted the series ”Paranormal Challenge.”

On September 23, 2011, Zak and Kelly Crigger released a book titled – ”Dark World: Into the Shadows with the Lead Investigator of The Ghost Adventures Crew.”

In 2014, Bagans bought the Demon House on Carolina Street in Gary, Indiana.

”When I first walked in, I walked down into the basement, and I started getting this feeling of anxiety and whatnot,” Bagans told Daily Dead.

Zak demolished the house in 2016. ”There was something there that was very dark yet highly intelligent and powerful,” he said in an interview with IndyStar.

From April 26, 2014, to November 5, 2016, Zak hosted the reality series Ghost Adventures: Aftershocks on the Travel Channel. The series featured Zak revisiting former Ghost Adventures cases. 

From April 2, 2016, to May 7, 2016, Bagans hosted the miniseries Deadly Possessions on Travel Channel. The show presents Zak collecting artifacts for The Haunted Museum.

In October 2017, Bagans opened “The Haunted Museum” in Las Vegas. It has over 30 rooms of paranormal paraphernalia.

Some of the items on display include Jack Kevorkian’s “Death Van,” Peggy the Doll, the Dybbuk box, and Bela Lugosi’s mirror. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed.

In March 2018, he made the documentary horror film “Demon House” about Ammons’ strange tale.

In 2019, Bagans bought the house tied to the 1969 Manson murders for $1,888,888. The two-bedroom home was previously sold in 1998 for $375,000.

The house became infamous in 1969 when its owners were killed there by Charles Manson and his followers. 

“Yes, the house has a very dark and gruesome history, but I was also intrigued by the energy I felt while there,” Bagans said. He went on to said. ”It was mysterious and palpable.”

Zak purchased the house for a film production, but he later changed his mind. In 2020, Bagans listed the property for $2.2 million.

In December 2019, he penned a book entitled – ”Ghost-Hunting For Dummies.” The book ”provides the reader with the essential information needed to conduct research into ghosts and the paranormal.”

In May 2021, Zak and Discovery+ announced a new series – ”The Haunted Museum.” It will present the tales behind the relics that are displayed in his 14,000-square-foot mansion in Las Vegas.

”These are no ordinary objects, they impart fear and terror on those who come into contact with them,” Zak said in a press release.

Girlfriend

In 2019, Zak Bagans began dating Holly Madison, a model who was in a relationship with Hugh Hefner from 2002 to 2009.

Madison was later married to businessman Pasquale Rotella.

The two first met in 2019 when Holly went to his Haunted Museum.

They broke up in February 2021.

Zak previously dated Christine Dolce, a cosmetologist proclaimed ”The Queen of MySpace” by Vanity Fair. Christine passed away on February 6, 2017, from liver failure.
