Lyne typically streams daily from around 15:00 UTC for 6 to 8 hours.

In 2020, Adam turned down a $20k sponsored stream because of gambling implications.

Charity

In July 2014, Adam vowed to stream for 240 hours (8 hours a day minimum average) and donate all of his proceedings to the MacMillan Cancer Support Foundation, one of the largest British charities that campaign for better cancer care.

The charity was founded in 1911.

”This challenge was completed on 1st August and over £50,000 was raised even though I expected £10,000.”

The foundation stated it could be the start of a whole new way of generating income. A spokesman for the foundation declared:

“£50,000 – that is amazing. We are going to send someone to meet Adam in person to thank him for raising so much for us. It really is incredible.”

During an interview, Lyne said:

“It’s been amazing and such a big surprise. I wanted to help Macmillan because the nurses cared for my grandmother.”

Adam later added:

”I’d like to thank everyone who has donated for helping raise such a fantastic total.”

In 2015, Adam renewed this challenge and raised more than 40,000 pounds. He said:

”I decided to set a harder challenge in 2015; to live stream an accumulated 240 hours over the month of July.”
