He scored his first TV role as an orderly on “ER.”

He played in several other films before scoring his first significant role as Johnny Turturro in “Graceland.”

At first, Manny was extremely nervous when he accepted the role.

In his mind, he thought it was going to be like a sitcom.

That didn’t sit well with him because sitcoms generally wrap up everything at the end of each episode, and that didn’t really challenge actors enough for him.

Rumor has it, Manny was a bit of a debutante and refused to take a pay cut. He was also complaining about the scheduling.

Sources close to the show say that firing Manny could have kept the show running with only mild tweaks.
