Marc Jerome Daly was born in the US on August 12th, 1973.

An avid sportsman with a sharp mind, he was steadily making his own career moves by the time he met—and married—his first wife in 1997.

After a Valentine’s Day wedding in Florida, the pair went on to have two children before their marriage ended in 2000.

Daly went on to hold several key positions in the financial world, including roles at Credit Suisse First Boston, and as Vice President of CitiBank.

After ten years in the fast-paced, high-flying world of banking, he decided to make a major change—and pursued his passion for food.

SoCo, described as a Southern Fusion cuisine, is a Brooklyn, NY hotspot that blends Cajun and Creole cuisine with BBQ and classic Southern soul food, all served with an extensive boutique beer list.

Daly supports the New York City Football Club and England’s Premier League Club, Arsenal.

Not content to sit on the sidelines, he also volunteers as a coach for the Williamsburg Soccer Club kids’ team in Brooklyn.

Then, in June of 2016, Daly met Kenya Moore—a former Miss USA, Miss Universe top 6 contestants, and star of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Daly said in an interview not long after meeting Moore that he knew she was The One immediately.

He spoke passionately about her great heart and personality and said he’d never felt so strongly about someone after a first date.

Moore echoed his sentiments, saying she would have married him within a month because her feelings for him were so strong.

The pair decided to wait to take the plunge, and married almost a year to the day after their first meeting.

They kept their relationship private up to that point because of Moore’s celeb status, but following their small destination wedding, the world found out about Daly.

The pair welcomed a little girl to their family on November 4th, 2018, and named her Brooklyn Doris Daly—Brooklyn after the city where they met, and Doris after the grandmother who raised Kenya.

Is It The End?

After less than two years of marriage and with a 10-month old baby in the mix, Marc Daly and Kenya Moore announced that they were breaking up.

Moore openly shared with her co-stars on the Real Housewives of Atlanta that she found messages between Daly and a former lover on his phone and that they were inappropriate.

This came hot on the heels of an argument the pair had—and which was aired on RHOA—after he told friends he “hated” being married.

The argument ended in an Uber after the charity event the pair were hosting when the Uber driver asked Daly to get out of the vehicle.

Moore acknowledged that she’d probably ignored several red flags because she had been so in love with Daly.

Whilst Daly avoided airing his relationship troubles in front of the media, Moore spoke to several media outlets—including Us Weekly and Entertainment Tonight—about their breakup…and the potential that they could reconcile in the future.

Moore explained to the media that there were some difficulties in their relationship due to the long-distance nature of it—with Daly based in NYC and Moore in Atlanta.

It appeared that the pair struggled after the birth of their daughter, too, with Moore saying the arrival of a baby “changed our dynamic as a couple.”

Daly filed for divorce from the reality star shortly thereafter.

In a strange twist at the end of 2020, Kenya told fans that they hadn’t divorced and that Daly had withdrawn the divorce proceedings against her within 24 hours of filing.

According to the RHOA star, Daly then began fighting for their marriage, and wanted to attend marriage counseling with her.

”We’re working on it. We’re in counseling, and Marc has made a complete 360,” Moore said. ”He just seems like he’s fighting for his family, and that’s all I ever wanted him to do.”

He had tried to publicly apologize for his behavior.

In early 2023, Kenya said that she hopes her divorce will be concluded soon.

In July 2023, Moore said she wants another child with Daly.
