In September 2018, HBO announced its decision to leave the boxing business at the end of 2018.
”This is not a subjective decision,” Peter explained. He added: ”Our audience research informs us that boxing is no longer a determinant factor for subscribing to HBO.”
”I think the sport has done very well without HBO,” said Larry Merchant, a longtime commentator for HBO Sports, in 2019 for Boxing Scene. ”It’s having a terrific run now of big fights (with) ESPN, Fox, and DAZN.”

In May 2019, HBO Sports acquired the streaming and television rights to the documentary “Diego Maradona,” which was executive produced by Asif Kapadia.

She gained fame as the co-host of the ”Call Her Daddy” podcast with Alexandra Cooper.
