”About six months in [after she moved to New York City], I was looking for a new apartment, and I needed a roommate because I was broke, and by complete random chance, this girl I had met in like an Uber pool or something she told me that she knew of someone looking for a place also,” she said on her podcast in December 2020.
She added: ”So I met up with this complete rando to look at an apartment, and it was at that very moment which I obviously didn’t know at the time, my life was about to completely change.”
One month later, in 2018, Barstool Sports signed the podcast to a three-year deal. The deal also included giving the company 100 percent of the intellectual property. In two months, the podcast rose from 12,000 downloads to two million.
In 2020, the Barstool babe parted ways after a dispute started during their contract renegotiations with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.

Cooper and Franklyn reportedly received a guaranteed salary of $500,000 each and bonuses from merchandise sold.
”We offered them substantial raises just to get them to honor their existing contract,” Portnoy said.
Sofia declined the deal, but Copper accepted.
”After some time had passed, Alex and I then both decided that we wanted to consider some other options for multiple reasons,” Sofia declared.
Franklyn also accused Alexandra of betraying her on more than one occasion.
”I trusted Alex. I feel betrayed,” Sofia said in an Instagram video.
Cooper continued to host ”Call Her Daddy” alone. The podcast re-started in August 2020, and Miley Cyrus joined Alexandra in the first episode.

In October 2020, Franklyn started her own podcast called ”Sofia With An F.”
She also moved from NYC to Salt Lake City, where ”I’m recording this from my mom’s closet — this is what has come down to,” Sofia said in the first episode.
