Who died on Homestead Rescue?

Who died on Homestead Rescue? Is Marty Raney still alive?

Introduction

When it comes to popular TV shows today, few shows can match the rampant popularity of Homestead Rescue.

The show has a massive following, built around the Raney family and their attempts to help people used to suburbia settle into an off-grid lifestyle.

The Raney family is made up of three people primarily: father Marty and children Misty and Matt. (Note – Melanee Raney didn’t appear on the show).

Together, the three of them have been a key part of a TV show that encourages people who are used to living in the big city to come and try life in the rural world.

The results are exceptionally enjoyable to watch, with many of the participants having their lives turned upside down by what they learn when they are part of the show. However, it would be fair to say that a big draw of the show is the individuals involved.

Regular watchers of the show will see the Raney family regularly enough to feel like they know them extremely well.

As mentioned above, Homestead Rescue is a show about a family called the Raney family.

They are a tight-knit family who are experts in living off the grid.

As experts in the homesteading world, they help novices to the idea come out and try it for themselves.

The aim of this idea is to help people who have either started a homestead that is failing or have owned a homestead for a while that is about to be shut down.

The show has managed to build a large audience due to two reasons: the practical advice handed out to homesteaders and the awesome connection that exists between the Raney family.

People love to see the family dynamic spring into life, and those who have watched for long enough now know what to expect when a scene unfolds.

The Raney family has given us a great insight into their lives, and regular viewers now feel like they have a handle on who they are.

The family is extremely intelligent, providing some great insight for many people who are thinking of giving homesteading a chance.

Many people like the idea of being involved in homesteading, but they find it hard to get started. So many questions need to be answered, and Homestead Rescue has done a great job teaching people new to the idea and the best ways to make it work.

However, the show has undergone some major changes in recent years. Given it started in 2016, something must be done to keep Homestead Rescue fresh and exciting for viewers.

Like most TV shows, the time comes when a pretty major change has to be enacted to try and keep things fresh.

For the show, then, this came in the form of a significant cast member leaving the setup.

The cast member who decided to pick up their things and leave the show was none other than the veteran and father of the family, Marty. Marty decided that, even as the head of the family, he wanted to move on from the show.

At the end of the sixth season of Homestead Rescue, despite being one of the main reasons the show was so successful, Marty decided that it was time to give up and move on.

Instead, he would leave his kids in charge of the show.

At this point, with Marty out, his son, Matt, joined the show instead.

Matt had always been mentioned previously but was not a regular part of the show.

Now, he was to come in and take on the role that his father had carried out with such distinction. Naturally, there was fear among the producing team that without Marty’s veteran expertise, the show might begin to fail.

While Marty decided that it was time to leave, the show must go on, as the old saying goes.

And so it has – Homestead Rescue most recently concluded its tenth season, so the show itself is still going strong even without the presence of Marty. Still, for long-time fans of the show, losing the most experienced member of the show – and arguably the most unique personality, too – was tough.

While Matt does a great job of keeping the show fun and engaging, he arguably does not have the same life experience and homesteading expertise as his father, Marty.

Fans were often divided: many felt that after six seasons, the change in the cast was useful to try and keep the show alive and engaging.

Others, though, felt like it was just not the same without the unique personality that Marty had brought to proceedings.

So, as you might expect, it did not take long for the internet to be filled with rumors that Marty Raney had, in fact, died. This was because the man was – and is – extremely private. Very little is known about Marty away from the TV cameras, which is the way he has always intended to keep things.

So, fans who were hoping that Marty might do something like a side project or some show that would add to what had happened in Homestead Rescue were left to be disappointed.

The internet, though, was awash with rumors that the 1956-born expert in homesteading had become ill or passed on. At the time of writing, though, there is nothing to say that anything has happened to Marty Raney – he is still alive. Therefore, all of the rumors about who died on Homestead Rescue can be disproven at the time of writing.

Nobody has died on the show, and there is no reason to assume that because the veteran gave up the TV camera, he must be ill.

He decided that after enough success and publicity from the show that, enough was enough, and he wished to return to the relative normality of the life that came before.

That, surely, is completely understandable!

Being involved in TV is a delicate and demanding process.

People do not realize the enormity of being involved in television until they actually take part.

Filming six seasons of such a grueling and challenging show, then, would surely take it out on any individual.

For that reason, Marty’s exit from the show is simply a natural conclusion to all of the work that he put in to make the show such a massive success.

Thankfully, though, there is no death to report – at the time of writing, Marty and the rest of the Raney family are alive and well.

Has anyone died when filming Homestead Rescue?

Considering the dangerous nature of the TV show, people assume that there must be at least some kind of fatal accident that has taken place.

Many shows like this involving extreme issues like homesteading will see something go wrong at least once. However, during the ten seasons of Homestead Rescue, nobody has died. There have, though, been some pretty close shaves along the way.

For example, the 12th episode of the second season of Homestead Rescue was known as the Hill Of Death episode.

This episode revolved around an Oregon homestead stuck in a dangerous, precarious location.

It was at the base of a cliff that was around 100ft in size.

The ridge prevented the homesteading family from accessing many acres of land they would use for growing crops and tending to animals. For Homestead Rescuers, though, such an incident is a challenge.

Marty and co. have managed to help the family out by building a road that runs up the rock cliff.

Though the road now ran through a forest populated by dangerous creatures such as mountain lions, it provided the Oregonians with the access they needed.

For many, though, the show is one that often brings anxiety.

There is usually a feeling of wonderment about what will happen next – will the Homestead Rescue team be able to resolve the issue, or will they have to hold their hands up and walk away?

Time and time again, the Raney family has put themselves front and center of risk and danger.

All to help the people who take part in the show overcome their problems and come through rough times as they begin their journey into being full-time homesteaders. However, nobody has died during the creation of a Homestead Rescue episode.

One of the main things always made clear about Homestead Rescue is the work behind the scenes.

While the Raney family is 100% the ‘main attraction’ of the show, they are not alone in the work that they carry out.

They do not do everything independently – they have a production team behind the cameras that plays a huge role in keeping everyone safe.

Due to this additional care, the cast members are kept healthy and safe, and all situations they face are carefully planned for and prepared.

The Raney family are experts in homesteading; remember, they will not walk unthinkingly into a dangerous situation. They will prepare, examine, and understand the problem before they commit resources, workforce, and risk to the case.

Professionals are also involved in the background, offering extra support to the Raney family as they take on these various challenges.

Yes, the Raney family are experts, but professionals in every field they need are provided throughout the show. The team behind Homestead Rescue has been very careful to ensure that the show is prepared for every time.

This matters because, to many, the show seems overly dangerous.

The risk of something going wrong can feel pretty palpable. As such, there is always a lot of work and prep to ensure that the staff involved in Homestead Rescue are kept safe.

This is why, when you search for who died on Homestead Rescue, you will find out nobody has died. The team behind the scenes does more than enough to ensure that the individuals involved can come home safe after the show’s challenges.

So, hopefully, now you can see that all of the rumors about who died on Homestead Rescue are just that – rumors.

There is nothing to say that anyone on the show has died, be it one of the Raney family or one of the backroom experts involved in creating the show.

These kinds of claims can feel a little disrespectful to the people involved in the show.

A show of this magnitude would not carry on for ten seasons – and more to come – if someone had died during the show.

The rumors about Marty Raney leaving the show because he was ill or had since died were untrue. The Raney family is a TV treasure and rare beloved by all who have watched the show for long enough.

Therefore, any rumors about people dying or similar are just that – nasty rumors. Homestead Rescue is a show rife with stories because the stars are not a kiss-and-tell kind of family.

They are private people; they keep their personal lives away from the show and focus on creating high-quality TV over trying to make themselves celebrities.

So, who died on Homestead Rescue? Nobody. Nobody has died, whether it is a member of the show’s cast or a member of the team behind the scenes. Yes, there have been some close calls and really risky activities – but it has not led to anyone dying.
