Big 30 Net Worth 2024

Big 30 Net Worth – $1.5 million

Introduction

Art changes as artists look to find new ways of expression and things to express.

Music is no exception.

It comes in different ways and styles.

In the 80s heavy metal bands frequently came into the spotlight of controversy.

Today, young rappers are the new thing.

As they sing about their difficult lives and hopes, often including guns, cars, and money, they attract millions, or even billions, of viewers and listeners on YouTube, Spotify, and similar websites.

Big 30 has gained popularity amid this market.

If you have seen the rapper in his luxury cars, taking pictures with stacks of money, you might assume he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. However, the assumption would be false.

Rodney Lamont Wright Jr., Big 30’s real name, was born and grew up in Whitehaven, from Memphis, Tennessee.

Little is known about the rapper’s early life since he does not give personal information often.

He grew up in a neighborhood stricken by poverty and crime.

The rapper remembers that the conditions were difficult, but his father helped. He was sent to different schools as a child and got expelled multiple times.

One of his childhood friends told him he had musical talent:

“He told me, ‘You know how to check. I know you know how to rap. When a n###a was writing the song, n####s was comforting as hell, But then when I got to that mic, that’s when I got nerves like, ‘I can’t do it.’ I tried to get off the song.”

The reasons for the expulsions were petty crimes and fighting.

The police arrested the rapper a few times, and he can be seen using an electronic tracking device on his ankle in an old video.

Because of his problems in school, Big 30 met his friend Pooh Shiesty

Years later, Big 30 and Pooh Shiesty started to assemble groups of friends and drive around the city.

They called themselves “Choppa Gang.” Soon Choppa Gang became one of the most respected gangs in the neighborhood. Big 30 himself soon sharpened his shooting skills.

Guns, for better or worse, are an important aspect of the Big 30’s life. The artistic name “Big 30” is a reference to his favorite gun, Glock 30.

Later, Big 30 was again arrested for reckless endangerment as he was shooting in the direction of a building where people lived.

Though the rapper claimed no one was close to being shot, one resident said that a bullet passed a few inches from his face.

In October 2020, Big 30 was arrested again. This time for unlawful gun and drug possession. However, he got out of jail in less than a week.

Some bad blood seemed to get between Gucci Mane and Big 30.

After Big 30 posted some Instagram pictures with Gucci, Gucci commented that they only met once and told him to stop doing it. Later, however, they seemed to have solved the problem since they made a track together called “shit crazy” later.

Big 30 is now facing personal problems. Most of his former colleagues from the Choppa Gang are in jail. Pooh Sheisty was accused of shooting a security guard in Florida and was sentenced to jail.

Big 30 claims that his intent in writing lyrics is to create songs enjoyable for himself and his peers.

The great viewership is a pleasant secondary accomplishment:

“Last folks who rapped like us was N.W.A. That era’s gone. We ain’t really think they was gon’ accept us. We ain’t know that shit was gon’ make Billboard. We just was doing it for the hood.”

Big 30’s career was one of rapid growth.

He remembers his views count going over what he expected:

“It ended up getting 100k [views] a month. This shit got us like ‘Damn, fool, we real rappers now—we got a hundred thousand a month.”

His main success working alone, according to himself, was a track named Mista:

“By myself, probably ‘Mista.’ It’s the one I just dropped. It’s doing more numbers than I ever did, and it’s still trending right now. And I ain’t never been trending this long. I really think it’s because I’m back in my hood. I let them see my hood. People be likin’ that. They be wanting to see that type of footage. A lot of rappers can’t even go back to they hood.”

When asked about his goals, Big 30 said:

“Grammy winner. I’ma be the next platinum-selling artist or something like that. Millionaire to $10 million.”
