In 2014, New Breed Logistics employed 10,000 people and had annual revenue of $800 million.
”DeJoy built a world-class organization that became the foundation for the growth of our logistics business in North America,” Bradley Jacobs, chairman and CEO of XPO Logistics, said.
Following the acquisition, DeJoy served as CEO of XPO Logistics’ supply chain business in the Americas until December 2015. He continued to serve on XPO’s board of directors until 2018.

Louis replaced Megan Brennan, the seventy-fourth Postmaster General of the US, who announced her intent to retire in October 2019.
DeJoy took office on June 15, 2020.
”Postal workers are the heart and soul of this institution, and I will be honored to work alongside them and their unions,” DeJoy said in a statement.
He is the first postmaster in 20 years without prior experience in the US Postal Service.
”As you will soon discover, I am direct and decisive, and I don’t mince words,” DeJoy told Postal Service employees in a video message in June. He added: ”And when I see problems, I work to solve them.”
”Louis DeJoy is the Betsy DeVos of the Postal Service, and he’s sabotaging his own agency when its work has never been more important,” Elizabeth Warren tweeted regarding his Appointment as Postmaster General.
On August 7, 2020, Louis announced he had reassigned or displaced 23 senior USPS officials. Later that month, he testified before the House Oversight Committee about his sweeping operational and organizational changes at the Postal Service.
”Had Congress and the PRC fulfilled their obligations to the American public concerning the Postal Service, I am certain that much of our $80 billion in cumulative losses since 2007 could have been avoided,” DeJoy said before the U.S. Senate Committee.
In 2021, DeJoy came under fire for his decision to award an exclusive contract to truck maker Oshkosh Corp that could be worth $6 billion to modernize the USPS fleet. ”We are very, very excited about having a full fleet, or to the greatest extent we can, you know, electric fleet,” he said.
