Wong Fu Productions is an Asian American filmmaking group that was founded by Philip Wang, Ted Fu, and Wesley Chan.

They started the YouTube channel on April 25, 2007. During a recent interview, Wang recalled:

In 2018, Wong Fu Productions created the Patreon page, which currently has over 1,081 patrons.

The trio has been especially successful in its ability to collaborate with some of YouTube’s most prominent Asian creators, including:

• KevJumba;
• Ryan Higa.

Wong Fu Productions has also created music videos for hit songs such as “Sunday Morning” (by Maroon 5) and “I’m Yours” (by Jason Mraz).

On July 23, 2013, the company launched a second channel, named – “More Wong Fu.” This channel has the following description:

Philip Wang

He was born on January 22, 1990, in Stoke-on-Trent to a Chinese-Malaysian father and an English mother. He said about his childhood:

”I was born in Stoke on Trent. My mother’s English from Stoke.”

Wang also said:

”She met my father in Malaysia but I was born here.”

Philip graduated from Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, California. In 2006, Wang graduated from the University of California, San Diego.

In 2010, he received the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year Award.

In 2017, he appeared in the podcast series Do the Right Thing and Pappy’s Flatshare Slamdown. 

When asked about his comedy style, Philip responded:

He was born on October 26th, 1981, in Cape Town, South Africa.

Ted initially intended to pursue a career in electrical engineering.

He was born on April 27, 1984.
