GoldGlove Net Worth – $1.5 million

What is GoldGlove’s net worth? Who is GoldGlove’s wife?

Introduction

GoldGlove—AKA Goldy—is a YouTube gamer and Twitch streamer.

He started his YouTube channel over a decade ago, and has now branched out to have two more—GoldGloveLetsPlays and GoldGloveTV2.

The latter two channels may not have the following his main channel has, but he still stashes some gold content there—like his Last of Us part 2 video.

When he’s not uploading content to his YouTube fans, he’s being a partnered live streamer on Twitch.

Known for his quirky sense of humor, outspoken personality, and awesome insight into the games he plays, it’s no wonder GoldGlove has such epically loyal fans.

Here’s how he won them over.

The Origin Story

Brennon O’Neill was born on April 22, 1991, in Vancouver, Washington.

He grew up playing baseball, and when he first started gaming, he took the baseball term GoldGlove—which is an award for the best defensive player—and used that as his gamertag.

It stuck, with most fans eventually shortening it to Goldy.

At the time of writing, he prefers to be called Goldy by fans.

The first game he ever played as a kid was Scorched Earth on PC.

He was four or five years old at the time, and he remembers the game being pretty rudimentary—but he loved it.

It was Scorched Earth that opened up a whole new world to O’Neill.

Wife

GoldGlove moved to Portland, Oregon, when he married fellow Twitch sensation and gamer girl, FemSteph.

Stephanie Driscoll shares Brennon’s love of gaming—her games of choice include Rocket League, GTA, and Counter-Strike.

She once worked as a Digital Marketer for a publishing company in the gaming sphere.

Goldy and FemSteph got engaged in 2017 and tied the knot in 2019.

The loved-up couple welcomed their first baby, a boy named Cohen Emmet O’Neill, on December 10, 2020.

He was born at 4:45 pm and weighed 7 lbs 12 oz.

The family also includes two fur babies—dogs named Rhys and Sullivan.

The Career Ladder

Brennon Goldy O’Neill gained a pretty substantial following on YouTube when he launched his channel back in 2010.

He was seeing some success on the video streaming platform and had also been trying his luck as a live streamer.

At some point in 2013, however, fans weren’t totally happy with his sporadic streams—they wanted more.

So he started trying to post regularly on Twitch.

Eventually, he was posting nearly every day—and he loved it.

Brennon says he loves the Twitch platform and the fact he can just set up, kick back, and feel like he’s just gaming with his boys.

It’s what he enjoys the most—hanging out and playing games with a group of “like-minded, awesome” individuals.

Most of the time, Goldy swears by a core handful of games—Grand Theft Auto V, NBA 2K, DayZ, H1Z1, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Rocket League.

His all-time favorite video game is an easy one: Gears of War. It’s the game that got him into online gaming, and even 10 years into the industry, he still loves everything about it.

A Day in the Life

Brennon claims that being a full-time streamer isn’t all that different from any other job.

He gets up, does stuff with his family, and eats breakfast.

He runs errands if his wife tells him to.

Once he’s showered and fed, he’ll settle in at his PC and spend the next 6 to 8 hours gaming.

It’s a job most people he knows would love—and he says it definitely doesn’t feel like work.

While GoldGlove’s day may seem pretty run of the mill, his gaming set-up definitely is not.

He uses a dual-PC set-up for streaming—a primary gaming rig and another used to run his stream.

Some other ride or die equipment in his arsenal are his ATH-PG1 gaming headset, AT2035 microphone, and Razer Death Adder mouse.

Unlike most gamers—who switch between platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, and PC—GoldGlove is pretty dedicated.

He said in an interview, “I just want to play games with my friends. Consoles require so many updates and downloads and extra nonsense.”

Brennon has also got some pretty clear opinions on what it takes to become a pro live streamer on Twitch.

At the top of the list, he said in an interview with Audio-Technica, is to do it because you love it.

“Don’t start streaming to become a professional.”

He explains that becoming a successful Twitch or YouTube streamer takes time, a lot of hard work, and at the end of the day: luck.

So, his advice is to do it because it makes you happy, to network, and not to take any shortcuts to get famous.
