RiceGum (real name – Bryan Quang Le) is an American YouTuber who is best known for his diss tracks on his popular YouTube channel.

Biography

RiceGum was born on November 19, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, to a Chinese mother and a Vietnamese father.

He dropped out during his first year at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to pursue his YouTube career full-time.

He started his YouTube channel on September 25, 2012. Le said in that first video:

”I’m really funny and I like to troll people.”

In his first videos, he often recorded himself playing Call of Duty.

On December 8, 2015, Bryan uploaded his first roast video, titled – ”These Kids Must Be Stopped.” These kids include Trey Sartorius (TreySartorius), Bark Thomas (duhitzmark), Loren Beach, and Jacob Sartorius (HipLikeJacob).

His most popular video was uploaded on June 11, 2017. It is a diss track on Jake Paul, titled – ”Its EveryNight Sis feat. Alissa Violet (Official Music Video).”

The song went platinum on March 19, 2018. Also, it has peaked at number 80 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

In 2019, Ethan Klein, of YouTube comedy duo H3H3, slammed Le for insulting his wife, Hila, during a response video.

CloutGang

In 2017, RiceGum and FaZe Banks co-founded CloutGang, a group of YouTubers featuring actors, models, rappers, and singers, who came together in response to Jake Paul’s Team 10.

The original CloutGang members are Sommer Ray, Carrington Durham, Wolfie, Alissa Violet, FaZe Banks, and RiceGum.

Le is now living in an apartment.

He has over 901,000 followers on Twitch.

In April 2020, Le was banned from streaming on Twitch after he streamed with two women. Le later explained that he got banned due to the “content itself, the questions I was asking these girls.” RiceGum said in a tweet on Wednesday, April 8: ”I’m gonna take this time to reflect on mistakes.” He has been unbanned after 3 days.

RiceGum was previously banned on Twitch in 2014, and again in 2018.

Girlfriend

At the end of 2018, RiceGum started to date Abby Rao, an Instagram celebrity with over 1.3 million followers on the platform.

In addition, Abby is an ambassador for Fashion Nova.

In mid-November 2019, RiceGum parted ways with Rao after discovering they shared different goals in life. She said:

”I think with us two, the love was so strong and it still is. I still love him.”

In 2018, he uploaded a video vlogging about his visit to Hong Kong during which he insulted the locals. Many YouTubers, such as Emi Wong, Philip Defranco, Fulinfang, and NFKRZ, criticized Le for his immature behavior towards the civilians in Hong Kong.

According to Polygon, some even drew parallels to Logan Paul’s infamous vlog series in Japan. He later apologized in a video:

”Sorry to all the Chinese people, I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful.” 

Le went on to say:

”And I want to come back soon, but I’m kind of scared now because the people may hit me and beat me up.”

Le earns most of his wealth from advertisements on his YouTube channel as well as sponsors.

His YouTube channel has over 2.15 billion views, meaning over $5 million in revenue before state taxes.

In November of 2012, RiceGum announced his partnership with Machinima.

In December 2018, Mystery Brand paid Le at least $100,000 to make a video promoting its website. According to a report by the Independent, the website encourages visitors to gamble between $2 and $1,300 to win mystery items.

He was featured in the Super Bowl LII commercial for Monster headphones.

His Instagram account has more than 3.9 million followers. A sponsored post on his account costs at least $25,000. Therefore, RiceGum has an estimated net worth of $7 million.
