Karlie Kloss (birth name – Karlie Elizabeth Kloss) is an American former Victoria’s Secret Angel who was named one of the top 30 models of the 2000s by Vogue Paris.


Kloss was born on August 3, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Her great-grandfather was from Poland. Her father is an emergency physician, while her mother is a freelance director. 

She has three sisters – Kristine, Kimberly, and Kariann.

As a kid, she trained as a ballerina. She later said:

”My ballet training was honestly the most valuable thing I could have done to prepare myself for this career. [modeling]”

Karlie was discovered at age 13 by scouts while walking in a local St. Louis charity fashion show.

In July 2019, Kloss ended her contract with Victoria’s Secret. During an interview with Vogue, she said:

In 2019, Kloss became the host of Project Runway, a reality television series produced by Bravo TV series that focuses on fashion design.


In 2012, Karlie Kloss began dating Joshua Kushner, the founder of Thrive Capital, a firm that has assets totaling an estimated $2.3 billion.

Joshua is a member of the famous Kushner family of real estate moguls. Joshua’s brother is Jared Kushner, who serves as a senior adviser to President Trump and is married to Ivanka Trump.

According to reports, Joshua’s family initially did not approve of the relationship and were openly critical of it.

In July 2018, Kloss and Kushner got engaged. She announced their engagement on her Instagram account.

”I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate.”

Karlie added:

”I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over.”

The couple married in October of 2018 in an Upstate New York ceremony wearing a Dior wedding dress.
